The full warranty terms

Updated: October 8, 2026

This warranty is given by VARIANTZ ASIA PACIFIC Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201812772R), which operates APAWLOGY®, 6 Raffles Boulevard, #03-308, Singapore 039594 ("we", "us"). It is a voluntary warranty. It is in addition to your rights under consumer law, and nothing in it takes away or limits those rights.

How long it lasts

Your device is covered for 12 months from the date of delivery (the courier's delivery record, or the date you collected it in store). Rechargeable batteries are covered for 6 months. Cover after the first six months requires you to register your device on our Register Your Warranty page within 30 days of delivery. The warranty applies only to devices bought new from apawlogy.com, our official marketplace stores or an authorized APAWLOGY® retailer, and only for the original purchaser.

What is covered

Defects in materials and workmanship that appear under normal household use, when the device is used as described in its user manual. Nothing else is covered.

The first six months: your statutory rights

If you bought in Singapore and a defect appears within six months of delivery, the law treats it as existing at delivery. You may ask us to repair or replace the device at our cost under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. If neither is possible within a reasonable time, you may ask for a price reduction or a refund. These rights come from the law, not from this warranty, and they apply whatever this document says.

Months seven to twelve: our warranty

This part applies only to devices registered within 30 days of delivery. After the first six months, we choose the remedy: repair, or replacement with the same model or an equivalent model with similar functions. Replacement units and parts may be new or refurbished to as-new standard. If repair or replacement is not practical, we may instead refund the price you paid, less a fair deduction for the use you have had. A repaired or replaced device is covered only for the rest of the original period. Any part or unit we replace becomes our property.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Filters, filter sponges, ice packs, desiccants, AA batteries and other consumable parts.

• Gradual loss of battery capacity, and rechargeable batteries after 6 months.

• Scratches, scuffs, fading, finish variation and other cosmetic issues, unless reported within 7 days of delivery.

• Damage from accidents, drops, liquid reaching electrical parts, pets (chewing, scratching, marking) or weight placed on the device.

• Damage from abrasive pads, steel wool, solvents, boiling water or a dishwasher, unless the user manual says that part is dishwasher-safe.

• Mineral scale, or blockages from food, debris or kibble outside the stated size range.

• Use with an unsuitable power source, cable or adapter, or outside the stated voltage.

• Repairs, opening or modification by anyone other than us or a repairer we approve.

• Commercial use, such as in cafés, grooming salons or boarding facilities, unless a separate written business agreement covers it.

• Devices with a removed or altered serial number, or bought from an unauthorized seller.

• The SmartLife app, cloud services, your Wi-Fi network, router or internet connection.

• Spoiled food, damage to floors or furniture, or any other indirect loss.

The SmartLife app is a third-party service

Our smart devices connect through SmartLife, an app and cloud platform made and operated by Tuya, not by APAWLOGY®. When you use it, you create an account with Tuya, and Tuya's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to that account and the data it handles. We do not control the app's features, availability, updates or server uptime, or how Tuya processes your data, and we cannot recover a Tuya account for you. If Tuya changes, suspends or ends its service, that is not a defect in your device. Core functions keep working without the app, as described in each user manual.

Wi-Fi requirements

Unless the product page for your model says otherwise, our smart devices connect on the 2.4 GHz band only, using Wi-Fi 4 (802.11 b/g/n). They cannot join a 5 GHz or 6 GHz network. Wi-Fi 6, 6E and 7 routers still support 2.4 GHz devices, but some of their default settings block them. To connect, your network needs:

• The 2.4 GHz band switched on, ideally with its own network name.

• WPA2-Personal security, or WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode. WPA3-only networks are not supported.

• Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and "smart connect" band steering switched off for that network, or a separate 2.4 GHz or IoT network set up for the device.

• Protected Management Frames (PMF) set to optional, not required.

• A standard home network, without enterprise logins, captive-portal sign-in pages (common in condo, hotel and office Wi-Fi) or MAC filtering that blocks the device.

• Your phone on the same 2.4 GHz network during pairing, with location permission switched on for the SmartLife app.

A device that cannot connect because a network does not meet these requirements is not defective and is not covered by this warranty. Please check your router settings before you buy, or write to us and we will help you check.

Arrival check

Please inspect your parcel when it arrives. Report transit damage, missing parts, cosmetic issues or a device that does not work out of the box within 7 days of delivery, with photos or video taken at unboxing. Cosmetic issues reported later are not covered. Reporting other issues later does not remove your statutory rights; it may only take us longer to verify.

How to make a claim

1. Write to hello@apawlogy.com with your order number or receipt, the device's serial number, and a photo or video of the issue.

2. We will reply within 3 working days and may first guide you through troubleshooting. Most connection issues are solved this way.

3. If the device needs to come back, we will issue a return authorization. Devices sent without one may be returned unopened at your cost.

4. Within the first six months, we cover shipping both ways in Singapore. After that, you cover shipping both ways.

5. If we find no fault, or the issue is not covered, we will return the device at your cost, or you may collect it.

6. For orders shipped outside Singapore, shipping, duties and taxes for claims are yours, except where your local law says otherwise. We may resolve an international claim by sending a replacement part for you to fit.

Daily care stays with you

Our devices support your daily routine. They do not replace it. Please check food and water levels, and your pet's eating and drinking, every day, especially when you are away.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a device is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in this warranty limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Your information

We use the details you give us for a claim only to handle that claim, in line with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The version in force on the date you bought your device applies to it. This warranty is governed by the laws of Singapore. Please contact us first so we can put things right. This does not affect your right to go to the Small Claims Tribunals or to seek help from the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE).
