An integrated ice pack base sits beneath the 304 stainless steel bowl, conducting cold through the metal and into the food above. By slowing the warming process, it extends the practical serving window well beyond what an uncooled bowl provides and functions as an Aroma-Lock — suppressing volatile compound evaporation so the food smells as good at meal time as the moment it was served.

The SAVOR Cool lid opens automatically when your pet enters the detection zone, then closes and locks within 20 seconds of them leaving. Locked means the lid stays down and won't open, even if your pet walks past, so meals happen on your schedule. The lid rests gently over the bowl rather than clamping shut. Like the dome a fine restaurant places over a plate, it covers and protects, but it was never meant to seal.

Why doesn't the SAVOR Cool lid close tightly against the bowl?

It's by design. Like the dome a fine restaurant places over a plate, the lid covers and protects without sealing. The fine slit does three things.

• Gentle on curious faces. The lid never clamps down, so it won't catch a whisker, nose or paw that lingers a moment too long.
• Fresher food in tropical humidity. When a chilled space is fully sealed, moisture collects under the lid and drips back onto the food. The slit lets that moisture escape, so the food keeps its texture and stays fresher for longer.
• Opens smoothly, every time. A sealed, chilled space creates suction that pulls the lid down. The slit prevents this, so the lid opens easily at every meal.

When the lid is locked, it won't open, even if your pet walks past. Locked doesn't mean airtight.
