OUR MISSION
Some Stories Deserve
to Travel Further.

Some animals are surrounded by devoted people who do everything they can with limited time and resources. Others have waited a long time for someone to notice them.
Not every caregiver has the opportunity to tell each animal's story to a wider audience. Paws Forward exists to help bridge that gap.

Through responsible storytelling, approved photographs and coordinated enquiries, we help more people discover companions who may be ready for a new chapter. The work of rescue remains with those who know the animals best. Our role is to help their stories reach further.

Paws Forward is a visibility and enquiry-coordination initiative. It is not a shelter, a custody service or a placement authority.

Time, patience and a safe place.
ONE PURPOSE · THREE PATHWAYS
There is more
than one way home.
Every placement looks different.
We help approved stories reach the people who may be able to take the next step. Each profile states the arrangement its caregiver has approved.
Adopt.
A permanent hello. A lasting place in a Guardian's household, following the caregiver's own screening and adoption process.
Foster.
A safe place for now. Time-limited care, arranged by the authorized caregiver, while longer-term plans are worked out.
Rehome.
A thoughtful new start. A responsible move from an existing home or care arrangement to a new one, on terms the caregiver sets.
A word on rescue.
Rescue describes the partners we work with. APAWLOGY™ does not carry out rescues, take custody of animals or approve placements.
Real animals only.
Every companion profile shows a real cat or dog, in photographs approved by their caregiver. Editorial photography elsewhere on these pages is illustrative.
HOW PAWS FORWARD WORKS

1. Partners submit
An authorized caregiver shares basic facts and existing photographs, and confirms their authority to arrange the animal's placement.

2. We verify and prepare
We check the details, review photographs for anything that could reveal a location, and write a clear, warm profile.

3. The caregiver approves
Nothing goes live until the caregiver signs off on the final text and photographs.

4. We publish and coordinate
We publish the profile and receive enquiries privately, collecting only what a first introduction needs, with the enquirer's consent.

5. Caregivers decide
The caregiver team screens enquiries, arranges any introductions and decides the outcome. When a status changes, they tell us and we update or remove the profile promptly.
PRIVACY FIRST

Their stories can be seen. Their safe spaces remain protected.
The animals deserve visibility. The people caring for them deserve privacy. We do not publicly disclose confidential holding locations, private caregiver identities or sensitive operational information without authorization.

Checked before it goes live.
Photographs are reviewed for signage, landmarks, window views and file data that could hint at where an animal is kept. Location data is removed.

No walk-ins.
There are no public visiting instructions. Any introduction is arranged privately by the caregiver team, usually after initial screening.
FOR GUARDIANS

The right home matters more than the fastest home.
Every companion has individual needs, routines and circumstances. Authorized caregivers retain responsibility for screening and placement decisions. Our aim is thoughtful connections, not rushed commitments.

We ask only for the basics.
How to reach you, who lives with you and your experience with cats or dogs. No ID numbers, home addresses or photos of your home at this stage.

Your enquiry goes to the right people.
With your consent, we pass it to the caregiver team for that companion, who explain any next steps directly. We don't promise outcomes or timelines, because the right match matters more than a fast one.
ALREADY HELPING ANIMALS FIND HOMES?

Partners provide
Accurate basic facts, photographs they are authorized to share, a private screening contact and final sign-off on every profile.

APAWLOGY™ provides
Editorial writing, design, publication on APAWLOGY™ channels and private coordination of first enquiries. Not included by default: site visits, on-site photography, custody, transport, fundraising or veterinary assessment.
The questions
that matter.
The basics
Are you a rescue organization or shelter?
No. Paws Forward is APAWLOGY™'s storytelling and enquiry-coordination initiative. We work with authorized rescuers and caregivers; we do not take custody of animals or independently approve placements.
Visits
Can I visit the shelter or current holding location?
Locations are not published. Where an introduction is appropriate, the authorized caregiver team decides whether and how to arrange it privately, normally after initial screening.
Decisions
Who decides whether I can adopt or foster?
The caregiver or rescue organization responsible for that animal. APAWLOGY™ helps coordinate the initial enquiry and does not override their decision.
Fostering
Can I foster instead of adopting?
For some companions, yes. Each profile states the arrangement the caregiver has approved. Fostering is a temporary care arrangement; adoption is intended to be permanent.
For partners
How do I submit a cat or dog? Can my organization stay anonymous?
If you are authorized to arrange the animal's placement, use the partner form on our Get Involved page. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes when your details and photos are ready. Your name, organization and contact details are not shown publicly unless you explicitly ask us to credit you.
Verification
Are profiles verified? What if a companion is no longer available?
Every profile is based on information and photographs from an authorized caregiver, reviewed by us and approved by them before publication, and shows the date its status was last confirmed. When a status changes, the profile stops inviting new enquiries.
Selection
Will every submitted animal appear on the website?
No. We review submissions for accuracy, authorization, privacy, suitability and capacity. We may ask for missing information or defer publication.
Clear expectations protect volunteers, potential Guardians and the animals themselves. Still have a question? Write to us at hello@apawlogy.com.
